Is Biden Trying to Get Us All Killed?
Is Joe Biden out of his Vulcan mind? The answer has to be yes, for who else would pick an unneccessary fight with two superpower states, Russia and China?
The Biden regime wants the world to believe that Russia is about to invade two small breakaway states, the Peoples Republic of Donetsk and the Peoples Republic of Luhansk, in The Ukraine, even though they do not need protecting. Both mini states are peopled primarily by Russians.
The statement that Russia is about to invade anywhere draws chuckles outside the NATO virtual world (Earth2) which has lately wandered far from Earth1, where the rest of us live.
When I was a young tyke, there was an old adage that was uttered by working folks who were clueless about politics. It went something like this: If you want a depression, vote Republican. If you want a war, vote Democrat. You don’t hear that much any more, because the Democrats have learned how to bring about a war, and a depression. What’s a poor Republican to do?
Biden has always been a warmonger. He was Bill Clinton’s henchman in Congress. Later, he became vice-president (likely on Clinton’s urging), and was in a position to represent the War Party in Obama’s meetings at the White House.
Now, we have President Joe Biden, Unleashed, the mightiest neo-Trumpist in the world. Many deluded voters thought they were getting rid of Trump by voting for Biden in 2020. Alas, they were only getting rid of the man, not the policies. Biden has kept most of Trump’s executive orders in place. His administration has defended in court Trump’s racist immigration policy. He has destroyed progressive policy changes, such as, $15 minimum wage, Medicare for All, abolition of crushing student loan repayments, increased voter rights, and all other works of the devil.
Small wonder that he’s cozying up to the neo-fascists who are running things in The Ukraine (my apologies to those who think the “neo” word can be removed). In any case, the Russian Bear isn’t going to fall for that trap.
At the same time, Biden has hitched his wagon, and federal money, to Big Pharma and the National Security State, as has no president before him. Now, any of us could be declared a “domestic terorist.” Don’t you just know all those people who refused to get vaccinated are really domestic terrorists? “We’ve been patient, but our patience is wearing thin,” says angry Biden. And so, the Democratic leadership continues its battle with poor people who inhabit that “basket of deplorables.”
When Americans take the time to think about it, they turnout not to be the bloodthirsty warriors the Washington elite wants them to be. A recent poll by the Tafalgar Group, reported in Newsweek, found that less than one in six Americans (15.3%) wanted their military to be involved in The Ukraine.
So why aren’t there thousands of anti-war protesters in every city in America? Are they laughing at Joe’s faltering attempt to save his administration? Don’t they know that one crazy general could touch off a conflagration in which many people could die? We’re talking about the two biggest nuclear powers here. Is everyone afraid of being labeled a domestic terrorist?
Any idea how much our government is paying for that general mobilization of NATO? Neither does anyone else, but it’s a lot. We need it here at home. Let’s demand money for human needs, not military greed. There is no one who is going to attack the USA. But, if something ignites the weapons of war, we are all going to be sorry we weren’t out on the streets ahead of time.

What will we do without Covid-19?
Dueling headlines (both appeared on Page 4 of the Jan. 22, 2022, Los Angeles Times):
Europe weighs new virus plan: Acceptance
Mexico urged not to take virus lightly
It’s not exactly breaking news that we don’t know what to do to fight the virus. In fact, the nations of the neo-liberal world have raised the flag of surrender. A peace envoy, named Mr. Omicron has been sent, reportedly carrying light terms of submission. All we have to do is undergo an indoctrination session, possibly lasting one day, and the war is over. All Hail Our New Overlords.

Two pillars of our culture died in the last few days
Thich Nhat Hanh, a Buddhist monk who was born in Viet Nam, but circled the world with a message that we should be awake and aware at every moment, a behavior that has become known as mindfulness. He wasn’t the first to come to the concept. Baba Ram Dass’ book, Be Here Now, is still selling, as are selected books by Gurdjieff, the Armenian mystic who made “being awake,” an important part of his teachings. Thich Nhat Hanh was always with us until he died in Hue, Viet Nam, in his 95th year. Now, only his 100-plus books are still with us.
Meatloaf (Marvin Lee Aday) only lived to be 74, dying on Jan. 20, but he lived every day like a Bat Out of Hell, which showed his wakefulness. Bat Out of Hell was also the name of a trilogy of his albums. In total, he sold more than 100 million records.
Meatloaf was a class act. By that I mean that he was lionized by deplorables and other working class kids who others looked on as the wretched of the earth. If you knew Meatloaf’s music and didn’t like it, then you were too snooty for your own good. Meatloaf was real, as real as a street fight or a love affair in the backseat of a ‘58 Chevy.
Meatloaf introduced “operatic rock” to the mainstream. For once, the fights and triumphs and defeats of working class kids could be heard in a giant hall as if they were a true opera. Jim Steinman, who died a year ago, was the progenitor of the new musical form. He wrote for several singers, you’ve heard his music even if you don’t know it, but Meatloaf was his main man. Meatloaf spoke to kids just coming of age as no one has done in a long time. If you don’t know Meatloaf, grab some lyrics sheets and sit down and listen. Remember, this is our lives he’s talking about.
