Last Waltz in Ukraine
The twin viruses of war and racism are still with us. The links between the two have never been more clear. If a civil war comes, it will be a world civil war based on peoples' color.
The Proxies of Death
Like Covid, the virus of war is still here. Of course, it never went away. The US withdrew from Afghanistan only last year, and has yet to end its involvement in Yemen, where Saudi Arabia is our proxy belligerent. In Syria, the US is using the Kurds as proxies while stealing that country’s oil. And in Africa, France is acting as our proxy agent in Mali and elsewhere in a vain effort to keep the West dominant.
Silly people ask why aliens haven’t visited us in their UFOs. The answer is that it isn’t safe on Planet Three. There are wars, pestilence, crime and racism. What intelligent species would want to visit such an uncivilized place?
On the fringes of Europe, the Empire has found another willing proxy. All we have to do is keep feeding Ukraine weapons and gold.
What are we fighting for? Democracy? Unfortunately, Ukraine is riddled with Nazis, who have never been keen on Democracy, voting, civil liberties, etc. So what? the country has a tinhorn ruler, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is not about to stop fighting as long as the United States and NATO continue to push war material at the government and soldiers, who can then sell it to war profiteers.
The virus of racism is worse than ever
Why is it that many people become indignant when it is suggested that we even talk about white people and racism? Isn’t that proof that racism runs deep in the very being of white people? History shows that whites from the European mainland, the British Isles, Canada, the US, Australia and New Zealand have been applying racism, in the form of slavery, tenant farming, Jim Crow, and unequal treatment at work and on the street.
Why doesn’t the same outrage surface if we talk about greed instead of racism? Certainly, white people are a greedy lot, and don’t racism and greed sort of go together? When we explore the roots of racism, we find greed, fear, violence, power, and all the other faults of our species, especially domineering whites who are able to wreck havoc on the majority.
What is the connection between War and Racism?
Until the philosophy which hold one race superior
and another
inferior
is finally
and permanently
discredited
and abandoned
everywhere is war. That until there no longer
first class and second class citizens of any nation.
Until the colour of a man’s skin
is of no more significance
than the color of his eyes
…everywhere is war.
Where have all the refugees gone?
As of June 14, nearly five million Ukrainians had been accepted into neighboring countries, including:
Poland: 1,152,364 Ukrainian refugees recorded
Russia: 1,136,243
Romania: 89,974
Moldova: 86,254
Slovakia: 77,330
Belarus: 8,027
Of these, according to the UN, more than one million have moved on to other European countries, including:
Germany: 780,000
Czech Republic: 366,632
Turkey: 145,000
Those seeking refuge in Russia are mainly of Russian origin who were living in the Donbas region.
Coming to America?
How many Ukrainians has the US, the country many believe is responsible for provoking the hostilities in the first place, accepted? So far, the total is 12. Not 12,000, but 12 people. This happened in March, the first full month of fighting in Ukraine when people were streaming out of the country.
This is the result of President Joe Biden’s announcement on April 11 that the US would take 100,000 refugees. Since then, the US has accepted 3,000 Ukrainian refugees, with 2,400 more being held in Tijuana, Mexico, waiting to cross the border.
What is the fate of non-white refugees who are also seeking sanctuary during this flood of white Ukrainians? Two press statements from Polish officials illustrate a sad commentary:
On March 2, the (Border Guard) institution tweeted: “Yesterday, 98,000 people entered Poland from Ukraine. Since February 24, our staff cleared the entry of over 453,000 people fleeing war-torn Ukraine.
Just an hour later, came a far different statement, again from the Border Guard:
“Last night, 51 foreigners tried to illegally cross into Poland from Belarus. 11 people from Syria, 33 from Iraq, 1 from Burkina Faso and 6 from Congo were arrested.”
Much has been said of neo-Nazis in Ukraine’s army and government, but Poland does not seem far behind. On Sept. 20, Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski claimed that, among the migrants, were terrorists, drug addicts and even bestialists – claims mostly debunked by the Polish media.
The Aftermath of Ukraine
The following is sheer speculation, but is based on current trends.
Many, if not most, of those weapons sent to Ukraine by the US and European countries will enter the black market, where they will fall into the hands of terrorists and unbalanced people. Shopping centers, schools and other venues will become more prone to mass killings. That sickness will likely spread from the US to Europe, but lots of weapons will wind up back in this country.
Deep in the Pentagon, there are policy makers and advisors who are watching the progress of the Russian meat grinder with rapt attention. They may be more inclined to avoid US troops getting involved in the carnage our proxy Ukrainians are enduring. At the least, a reevaluation of committing US troops to defend the Taiwan regime would be in order.
Biden may authorize billions more to rebuild the remaining rump state of Ukraine. Domestic needs will fall by the wayside.
Progress toward a defensive Grand Alliance of China, Russia, and affiliated states in SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation), BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and other regional bodies will be sped up. This will draw a line between NATO and the rest of the world.
NATO may have to reevaluate the utility of having member states on Russia’s border. Those states up against the Bear may reevaluate their hostility. Most have right-wing governments whose anti-Russian attitudes won elections for them in the past, but may now be a liability.
If Zelensky doesn’t negotiate, then Russia will likely incorporate Donbas, including Mariupol, and the remainder of Ukraine’s Black Sea coast. Meanwhile, Poland may attempt to snatch much of western Ukraine, which Polish nationals feels rightfully belongs to them.
Dividing the world by color
As shown in past issues of The Left Coast, the attitude of governments and people across the world has depended primarily on skin color. Countries that are predominately white tend to support Ukraine’s war against Russia, while non-white countries, including most of Asia, Africa and South America either lean toward Russia’s side or fully support it.
This division on Ukraine cannot be looked upon as an aberration. White Europeans have been enslaving and oppressing non-white parts of the world for hundreds of years. Since the 19th Century, the US has taken up “the white man’s burden” in its relations with native peoples, Mexicans, Central Americans, Filipinos, and others too numerous to mention.
No wonder that the descendants of colonial peoples are dubious about supporting their former oppressors when it comes to taking sides.
Is this the game plan of the US and Europe to wield influence and power throughout the world? The majority of the world’s population will likely regard the new plan as a reboot of the centuries-old control and domination based on color.
If this is the plan, “It is a tale told by an idiot,
full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.
–Macbeth, Scene 5, Act 5.
