During his life, Rev. Martin Luther King gave us reason to hope that this country could overcome the shame of racism, discrimination and apartheid, and take its place among the civilized nations of the world.
He inspired us as few have, before or since. He was a man of action and organizing, and he was a man of vocal persuasion. Many of his words and speeches, are known sixty years after they were spoken.
