L.A. Times snatches $10 million from small businesses Congress, in its latest stimulus bill, could not be bothered to give workers a $15 minimum wage, but it happily handed over ten million dollars to a billionaire. The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) awarded Southern California’s largest newspaper, owned by billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong, the money that would have otherwise gone to small businesses, and/or a minimum wage increase. The handout was reported on page 11 of the March 24 edition of the Times.
